- bring in the most persistent and motivated students
SOLUTIONS
Instead of asking students to play the script, we came up with a game, namely a sprint where the team gets a task in the morning and shows their result in the evening.
We filmed the developing progress “as is”, both successes and failures, throwing in cuts to candid interviews here and there. Our goal was to show that in real life, programming is hard work, in order to bring in students that are more inspired by difficulties than intimidated by them.
END PRODUCT
The video’s we’ve made look nothing like the regular fairytales “enroll in our course and your way into the profession will be easy-peasy”. Instead, we show the trade unadorned, for we need someone ready to burst into the industry in #studyhard mode.
